Artist’s Bio: Sharon Satterwhite

Recognized as a colorist and excellent teacher, Sharon has won awards and honors in multiple regional, national, and international juried shows both in Texas and in Colorado. She won Best of Show at the Art League of Fort Bend 2005 spring show and Best Semi-Professional at the Sugar Land Art League 2004 show.


She has shown in Colorado, Houston and Dallas galleries. Currently, her work is shown in Angel Fire, NM, Morton Street Gallery in Richmond TX, and Artists Alliance School and Gallery in Sugar Land, TX. In addition, her work is in the permanent collections of individuals and corporations.


Sharon belongs to ALFB and SLAA, Society of Layerists in Multi Media, Women in Visual and Literary Arts.


An artist/painter since the early eighties, Sharon has taught in Colorado and currently is teaching at Artists’ Alliance in Sugar Land. The classes focus on color, texture, and design and are intended for both the beginner and experienced student. Also, she leads a workshop for abstract artists once a month at Artists’ Alliance.
